With a straight hit down the ground, that just went above Plunkett's head, Mathews was looking set to go on the aggressive. However, the bowler had the last laugh the very next ball, striking timber with a quick yorker, to send back the Sri Lankan skipper. There was more trouble in store for the Lankans as Upul Tharanga was bowled for a first-ball duck by Adil Rashid as the visitors slipped to 106 for 5 in the 22nd over.
